Succulents

Succulent plants are water-retaining plants adapted to arid or dry climates or soil conditions. Succulent plants store water in their leaves, stems, and also in roots. The storage of water often gives succulent plants a more swollen or fleshy appearance than other plants. Because of these characteristics succulents are an excellent choice for sunny gardens, rock gardens and sunny containers.  They are extremely low maintenance as they seldom if ever need watering. The hardy succulents that we sell are Sedum, Sempervivum (Hens and Chicks) and Rosularia.  Agave are the non-hardy succulents that we grow in containers.  Hypertufa containers are an excellent choice for growing succulents.  See our wide selection of succulents below.

In 2012 we are offering classes on constructing a Sedum Wreath.
