Optimal Care:
Deadheading will not increase blooms.  Dried seed heads may be left on the plant to provide late season interest.  If plants become dry and crisp in a drought year, you may cut them back to the ground.  New green growth will appear.  Do not cut back in fall, but prune in spring.
