Pulmonaria (Lungwort)
Ytied and True for the Shade

Lungworts provide a burst of color in the spring shade garden.  Their color is derived from both the foliage and the flowers.  These deer resistant plants make a welcome addition to your shade garden or woodland.  Foliage ranges from solid green to silver and comes in many different variations of dots and streaks.  The flowers are usually pink or blue or both on the same plant.  Pulmonaria prefer part to full shade.  They can tolerate morning sun, but not afternoon sun.  They prefer an even moisture level and do not like to dry out.
